Art Museum of Utah (Salt Lake City, USA) – expositions, opening hours, address, phone numbers, official website.

The Utah Museum of Art (UMFA) is located on the campus of the University of Utah, near the stadium. Exhibitions are held here on a rotating basis, including as a result of cooperation with other museums. In total, UMFA has more than 20 galleries, and more than 17,000 art objects have been collected in its permanent collections. The latter refer to different cultures and parts of the world, including Africa, Oceania, the countries of the New World, Asia, Europe, the Americas, as well as the ancient world and the classical era.

The first art gallery was opened in the university building in the early 1900s. It consisted of three halls, where the works of local artists were exhibited. Over the following decades, the art department of the university received many art objects as a gift, which made it possible to turn a small gallery into a full-fledged museum. This was officially done in 1951. See topschoolsoflaw for brief history of Utah.

In total, UMFA has more than 20 galleries, and more than 17,000 art objects have been collected in its permanent collections.

By the time the museum moved to a new building, its collection had grown from 800 to 13 thousand objects. To get acquainted with all this wealth, the museum has developed numerous programs aimed at adults and children, including various types of excursions, films, lectures, painting classes.

The exhibitions of the museum change every 2-3 months, and they exhibit not only items from their own collection, but also from other museums in the country. So, among the expositions held here was the Impressionist exhibition “From Monet to Picasso” from the Cloverland Art Museum, an exhibition of Native American art, an exhibition of works by Andy Warhol, etc.

Bryce Canyon – the main resorts and areas, excursions and attractions, museums, reviews of tourists about Bryce Canyon.

Bryce Canyon National Park is located in northeastern Utah. In fact, this is not a canyon at all, but a giant amphitheater of the sharpest rocky peaks in all shades of orange. Bryce is less popular than its neighbors, the Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks, due to the relative remoteness of the park. However, tourists often combine visits to these three parks in one trip.

The height of the edge of Bryce Canyon varies from 2400 to 2700 meters, the colors are from rich ocher to light yellow. The best time of day to visit the canyon is sunrise or sunset.

The information center is open 8:00-20:00 from May to September, 8:00-18:00 in October and April, 8:00-16:30 from November to March.
