Myanmar: entry and exit regulations
Formalities, visas
Tourists are generally allowed to enter the country provided they have a return ticket and sufficient financial means to finance their stay in the country themselves.
But you can also apply for a visa in Bangkok/Thailand.
If you apply for the visa there in the morning, you can usually pick it up in the afternoon.
