The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) was established in 1911 as the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, making it the first public medical school in Tennessee. Located in Memphis, UTHSC is part of the greater University of Tennessee system and has grown to include six colleges: Dentistry, Graduate Health Sciences, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy.
