The University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine was founded in 1952 as a private, non-profit medical school. It was the first medical school in the state of Florida and is one of the oldest continuously operating medical schools in the United States. The school is located on the University of Miami’s Coral Gables campus and consists of six colleges: Medicine, Nursing, Health Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Public Health and Social Work.
