JABSOM has made a concerted effort to increase its research capacity over the years, with an emphasis on biomedical research related to tropical diseases and health disparities among Pacific Islanders. In recent years, JABSOM has established several new research centers focusing on areas such as cancer prevention and control, cardiovascular disease prevention and control, chronic diseases in indigenous populations, infectious diseases, neuroscience and cancer biology.
