Representations of Slovakia in Germany
The embassy building of the Slovak Republic stands out on Hildebrandstrasse due to its narrow, slender construction, which forms a contrast to the huge building of the embassy of Italy, which is located on the other side of the street, as well as the adjacent no less huge new embassy of Turkey.
The embassy’s two flagpoles, which are led through a kidney-shaped hole in the building’s canopy, are something special. The building was erected in exposed concrete and unfortunately makes a somewhat bunker-like impression, which is reinforced by the barriers around the building. The embassy building was inaugurated in February 2011. The illustration shows the embassy building from the construction site of the future embassy of Turkey.
