According to topschoolsoflaw, Erie County, Ohio is a county located in the northern part of the state. The first settlement in Erie County was established in 1809 with the founding of Sandusky City. This settlement quickly grew into one of Ohio’s most important ports on Lake Erie due to its location at the mouth of Sandusky Bay.
