East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine was established in 1978 and is located in Johnson City, Tennessee. The College of Medicine was created to provide medical education to students from the region, as well as to provide medical care for the citizens of East Tennessee. It has since grown to become one of the largest medical schools in the country, offering a comprehensive curriculum that includes both basic science and clinical training. The college is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and offers a range of degree programs including MD, PhD, and MS degrees. The college also has an active research program with faculty members involved in numerous research projects in areas such as cancer biology and cardiovascular medicine.
