The Chinese startups ASU announced the availability of One Cast, smartwatch previewed in the form of a prototype at watchtutorials in Las Vegas that 2016 will go down in history for being the first to feature an integrated laser projector.
Through the device you can project onto a flat surface any kind of content, from movies to games, from photos to texts with a size between 2 and 60 inches. What’s more, Cast One is able to play video streamed online to a definition of 720 p.
The Chinese company claims that the technology built into your projector is higher than that of traditional projectors DLP (Digital Light Processing). The optical module included within the projector offers a resolution of content of 1280×600 pixels and requires a distance from the surface on which to paint images of about 1.5 -2 centimeters.
ASU Cast One relies on Android 5.1 Lollipop and has an internal Qualcomm APQ8026 quad-core processor, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of built in memory and a battery 740mAh. The smartwatch can be connected via Bluetooth to your smartphone to receive calls and message notifications and can also be directly connected to the WiFi network.
The only drawback of this interesting device is the price: ASU Cast One is available for purchase at the modest sum of 2999 Yuan, equivalent to approximately 405 euro.
We propose below the video that shows the prototype unveiled at CES in Las Vegas this past January. As you can see from the pictures, the final version released today has some aesthetic differences compared to the model of the video.
